We offer the widest range of membrane products, including MF, UF, NF, and RO in flat sheet, spiral-wound, and hollow-fiber configurations as well as MBR technology for treatment of water and wastewater.
The MICRODYN RO series of brackish water & seawater RO membranes is ideal for water purification applications. These elements feature our best membranes for directly replacing competitive RO products and offer very high solute rejection.

MANN+HUMMEL leads the way in wastewater treatment with the BIO-CEL® product line using superior quality Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technologies. BIO-CEL MBR modules feature an extremely high packing density due to the thin and self-supporting membrane sheets, and the laminate offers a self-healing mechanism.

Our UF products include two hollow fiber UF membrane modules and one unique, spiral-wound module. PureULTRA UF and AQUADYN® UF are hollow fiber UF membranes used for water treatment, while iSep™ modules are excellent for high-fouling waste streams.

MICRODYN RO & NF

MICRODYN RO elements are ideal for water purification applications. The high rejection elements are perfect for applications requiring high purity or a very clean permeate stream, such as those found in the pharmaceutical and bio-technology industries.

Similar to RO, MICRODYN NF membranes are built for water purification. They are designed to remove organic substances like micropollutants and multivalent ions.

BIO-CEL MBR

Tighter discharge regulations, urbanization and increased water recycling efforts made membrane bioreactors (MBR) the leading innovation in wastewater treatment compared to conventional activated sludge.

With MBR technology, the clarifier is replaced by a physical barrier – the BIO-CEL® membrane module. This enables the MBR to operate at higher MLSS levels than secondary clarifiers, resulting in a smaller overall footprint. BIO-CEL produce high capacities of quality effluent at consistent flows.

PureULTRA Hollow Fiber UF

PureULTRA UF modules are constructed using highly hydrophilic modified PVDF hollow fiber membrane. The outside-in flow configuration contributes to easier cleaning as it keeps the solids, pathogens, and other foulants on the outside of the fibers. The fiber is designed to handle most feed water sources and tolerate solids loadings while operating within an optimal flux range. It rejects particulate matter, Giardia cysts, and Cryptosporidium oocysts, and can helps in virus removal.

NEW VP MANN+HUMMEL WATER & FLUID SOLUTIONS

MANN+HUMMEL Water & Fluid Solutions (previously MICRODYN-NADIR) today announced Jeff Sanchez as the new Vice President for the group. The global membrane manufacturer has been part of MANN+HUMMEL since 2015. In his new role, Sanchez replaces Marco Nava, who has been Vice President since April 2020.

Sanchez is an award-winning global marketing, sales, product management, and operations leader with experience guiding businesses in the international water market. Recently, he was the General Manager, Treatment, EMEIA at Xylem.

Sanchez will steer the recently rebranded company on the path to growth and innovation following the new MANN+HUMMEL Water & Fluid Solutions vision: To solve the world’s water and fluid treatment challenges so that together we can create a safe, sustainable, and healthy planet.

In addition to his previous role with MANN+HUMMEL, Nava serves as CEO for several specialty corporations and has decided to focus on those businesses going forward. Beginning June 2021, Nava will transition to support the MANN+HUMMEL Life Sciences & Environment team with his valuable expertise on special projects.

MICRODYN-NADIR BECOMES MANN+HUMMEL WATER & FLUID SOLUTIONS

MICRODYN-NADIR, a MANN+HUMMEL company, announced a new name for their business segment: MANN+HUMMEL Water & Fluid Solutions. Since 2015, the globally active membrane manufacturer is part of MANN+HUMMEL’s Life Sciences & Environment (LS&E) business unit and produces products and solutions for water, wastewater, and process membranes.

“At MANN+HUMMEL, we talk about One Team, One Goal, One Voice. Renaming MICRODYN-NADIR puts those words into action while simplifying and strengthening our global brand. It ties into the overall MANN+HUMMEL vision of leadership in filtration,” said Fua Nipah, President and General Manager LS&E at MANN+HUMMEL.

Along with a new name, the revamped Water & Fluid Solutions segment announced a new vision: To solve the world’s water and fluid treatment challenges so that together we can create a safe, sustainable, and healthy planet.

“Throughout name changes, rebranding, and acquisitions, the core of our company – our relationships with partners, clients, and customers – remains the same. We believe our new vision and closer ties to MANN+HUMMEL will allow us to enhance that focus. The new name includes new MANN+HUMMEL email addresses for all employees. Furthermore, all documents and communication materials will be updated with the new logo. Existing certificates, contracts, manuals/guides, data sheets, compliance documents, and other papers remain valid. Additionally, product names including MICRODYN, TRISEP, and OLTREMARE will not change.

INTRODUCING BIO-CEL® EASY – SMALL BUT MIGHTY MBR MODULE

BIO-CEL® EASY was launched today by global membrane manufacturer MICRODYN-NADIR, the Membrane Solutions segment of MANN+HUMMEL. Equipped with membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology, BIO-CEL® EASY is a packaged, standalone wastewater treatment module and the easiest plug-and-play MBR experience in the market.

“Airports, hotels, hospitals, shopping centers, and other similarly-sized establishments need a simple and efficient way to treat wastewater generated at their locations, and BIO-CEL® EASY provides that for them. It is made with cutting-edge technology and ensures excellent performance – and it’s extremely easy to use and install!” said Julian Klein, Global Product Manager for MBR at MICRODYN-NADIR.

BIO-CEL® EASY modules are a combination of ultrafiltration membrane sheets and a robust AISI 304 stainless steel frame. The modules offer easy assembly and installation; fast and simple design; and flexible configurations, which saves on installation costs, engineering hours, and investment costs. Each module can treat up to 24 m³/d for municipal applications and 12 m³/d for industrial applications.

As an added benefit, the module fits perfectly in the optional filtration tank: BIO-CEL® EASY TANK. The module and tank design makes it easy to design, assemble, connect, move, and expand, depending on the wastewater treatment needs of the facility.
